What’s Up?

Whenever we hear this phrase, we think of a few responses. What’s up may mean;

· What are you doing?

· How are you doing?

· What are you up to?

· Where are you going?

· Can I help you?

We have slangs on top of slangs that we use daily. We use coded phrases to allude our listeners. Parents have coded messages they use against children and children have coded messages that they use on parents.

We all use phrases, slangs, and words that can mean so many different things. I might ask, “have you been born again”. To the Christian it mean, have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and savior. To a gang member, it may mean, have you been initiated into the gang yet?

Jesus used parables for his coded messages as a teaching tool for his disciples. Is he sending coded messages to you or is he shooting straight with you?

Revelation 3:19-21 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
