The Gift That Gave Birth

Isaiah 9:6-7For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Few things in life that are given, can in return, be continuously productive. We can give a person a gift card but it will only produce once based on what amount you placed on the card. Sure we can add more dollars to the card over and over again. However, it does not self-produce without adding more money to it. We can give a love one a vehicle with a great big red bow on it but it requires fuel, a driver, maintenance, registration, etc. which must be done in order to keep using it.

God gave his son once and for all and to that gift a child was born. His government and peace shall never end. He just keeps producing and producing.
