The Anointing

Few things in life are as sensitive as the anointing. When I think about the sensitivity of the anointing, a motion sensitive bomb comes to mind. Motion sensitive bombs detonates at the slightest movement. Based on how the bomb is packaged, a small group of people or an entire community could suffer from the results.

The anointing or gifts of honor to fulfill the assignment on a person’s life is more sensitive than motion detonating bombs. The anointing on our lives flees at the slightest notion of sin related activities performed by the believer. This belief gives new meaning to the following scripture.

Isaiah 55:5-7

5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the Lord thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.

6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

So then the anointing draws a nation to us but wickedness causes the anointing to flee from us.
