Study
Every star athlete perform on a different level but it doesn’t happen by accident. These athlete practices differently than the average athlete. Lebron James works on his three point shooting, free throws, mid-range, post, handles, defense, Etc. From the point of tipoff to the last second of the game, James is ready.
The Christian must work on all areas of his or her position. We must study, pray, fast, work on attitudes, carefully get defensive, control the tongue, work on the high road, work on the low road, practice how to stand still, etc.
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Study every possible scenario and decide what scripture would apply best.
