Stick to the Basics

We must adhere to the fundamentals in everything that we do. Whenever a basketball player deviates from the basics such as; traveling, double dribbling, fowling, or up and down, he will eventually be sidelined by his coach or the referee. Everything in life requires sticking with the basics.

Our walk with the Lord Jesus is no different. We can desire to operate in supernatural gifts like prophesying, interpretation of tongues, healing, etc., but we must cling to the basics. The single most basic thing that a Christian must practice each and every day, is prayer.

Luke said this about Jesus, “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Luke 18:1
