Faith, Family, and Friends

Whenever we think of our faith in God, our family, and our friends, it is safe to say that we mistakenly assume that they should all mesh somehow. Experience however has proved our assumptions to be way off. In fact, either one can cause us to lose out in one or both of the other categories.

Who our family members are can cause us to lose friends and who are friends are can cause us to lose family members. Our faith, on the other hand, can cause us to lose friends and family members.

Matthew 12:47-49 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

Can we all just get along!
