Elements of the Adversary
Bricks and mortar are elements of a masonry wall. Bread and wine are elements of communion. Rain, snow, hail, and heat are elements of the weather. We know these things because they are tangible they can be tracked and identified.
Elements of the adversary, on the other hand, can be much more difficult to identify. The devil is cunning, deceptive, and full of evil. We don’t always know what, who, and how he is going to use his elements.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversarythe devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Stay in you right mind and remain watchful at all times leaving the rest to the Lord.
