Acquittals

The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

We have seen in years past how people with great means walk out of courtrooms a free person after killing, cheating, stealing, and committing all sorts of illegal acts. Some of these people were law enforcement officials. They were acquitted and the charges were dropped. Everybody in the world knew that they were guilty of the charges.

The prophet Nahum made it clear that God, “will not at all acquit the wicked”. We should always remember these words. Yes, we can retain the best trial lawyer around to get us out of trouble, but we still have to deal with God who may not let us off so easy.
