Dissolve It

Those who find and restore old things made with metal, understand the importance of rust removal. The object is to remove the rust to reveal the original paint that sits under the rust build up. There are several ways to do this, one of them is to dissolve the rust without disturbing the paint beneath it.

Whenever I am working on such a project, I use Navel Jelly. I just spread it across the rusted area, let it sit for a few hours, and rinse it off. Somehow, the chemicals remove the rust but does not disturb the paint. Wow! At this point, I am able to see the beautiful paint that was hidden by the rust.

This is exactly the type of business that Jesus is involved in. Sin causes us to be rusty, ugly, hateful, racist, etc. When we realize that some cleansing is needed, we repent, the spirit of the Lord then comes in and dissolve all of the ugly contaminants. Finally, the beauty underneath it all is revealed . Wow!!!
