To Be Or Not To Be
William Shakespeare’s play Hamlet most repeated quote, “To be or not to be”, left the audience and the readers with so many questions. Hamlet's dilemma is that although he is dissatisfied with life and lists its many torments, he is unsure what death may bring.
Isn’t this the same concerns with so many of us today? We are overtaken by the multitude of issues plaguing the world today. We have wars and rumors of wars, plagues, natural disasters, sicknesses, and all kinds of deaths. But we are also aware of death, “The undiscovered country from which no traveler returned”.
The reality of life or death is this.
2 Corinthians 5:7-9. (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
