God is tarrying because we won’t

In these difficult time that we live in, everybody seems to be wondering, where is God and when will He bring an end to all this madness? God has his finger on the pulse of everything that happens in the world.

The truth of it all lies in one word, tarry. We want to rush God through everything. We rush him to heal us, we rush him to answer our prayers, and the list continues. God, on the other hand, is in tarrying mode because we refuse to wait and reverence him. Jesus made a promise to his disciples, “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high” Luke 24:49. The promise was made good after the people tarried!

If we refuse to tarry before God, it will force him to tarry in response to our needs.

Spend some time today patiently waiting on the Lord.
