Should We Conform?

Romans 12:1-2. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Ever noticed how the people around you wants you to change to their expectation of who you should resemble. People who consume alcoholic beverages think those who does not are weird. Those who are unfaithful to their spouses feel that others should do the same. Skinny people think everybody should be small. People of different skin tone despise one another. In the words of Rodney King, “Can we all just get along”?

People of God are only expected to be transformed by renewing their minds daily through the word of God. We are not conformers, we are who we are in Christ Jesus.
