Get ready, get set, go!!!

Just before a foot race, to see who was the fastest in the neighborhood, five words would be uttered. These five words were announced typically by a person not in the race. Sometimes after an embarrassing defeat, the loser would say the winner cheated.

The object of this exercise was to avoid distractions and listen carefully. Sometimes the announcer would drag out the last word causing the runner to be caught off guard.

Life is just like that race we must get ready, get set, and prepare to go at the trumpet sound.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

God himself will say “Get ready, get set, blow”!!!!!
