The 7th last words of Jesus

Luke 23:34 "...Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do".

How do you know just how much you have grown in the Lord?

We have had the luxury of naming it and claiming it, blessing it and addressing it and walking in prosperous times. We as a nation of people has never really live through troubled times. We can say we saw glimpses of hardship but we in this generation have never really gone through persecution.

Persecution causes us to stretch our faith beyond our present theological belief. Here are a few test questions for you;

1. Can you forgive the person who killed someone close to you? 2. Can you still love that spouse that cheated on you? 3. Would you give the $20 back that was given to you by mistake by the cashier. 4. Can you really pray for the friends that set you up? 5. Can you ask God to forgive those who tried to kill your ministry?

If you said no to at least two of these, you are failing as a disciple of the Lord.

When we can respond to the worst attack that we have ever endured from people and say, "....Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do", we are walking in the tracks of Jesus.
