Making Your Ministry Strong
II Tim 4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
So many Christian struggle with standing the test of time. Sometimes you're strong and sometimes you're not. Sometimes you feel like a super hero and other times you feel like the scarecrow on the Wizard of OZ. Why is this happening?
In chapter four of II Timothy Paul charged Timothy to use the WORD to it's fullest extent. In other words if used it correctly and skillfully, the word that we preach is able to do every and anything.
After charging Timothy to preach the Word in and out of seasons, Paul told Timothy to Make Full Proof of the Ministry. Before a product is put on the market it is tested for several things;
1) Can it do what it claims?
2) How long is the shelf life before it becomes useless?
3) Will the container standup to the content and the external elements?
Paul was telling Timothy to make sure that his Ministry was ready for the afflictions that might come with it. Make sure that you are battle tested. Make sure that you are ready to embrace persecution. And please do not ever be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ because it is power to them that believe.
Are you both willing and able to stand against the external forces that will come against you. Do you have the power to defeat yourself when doubt kicks in?
Have you proven your ministry?
